The Great Plains Ecotourism Coalition would like to welcome a new member: Prairie Earth Tours.

Casey Cagle started Prairie Earth Tours in his home state of Kansas after many years spent working as an outdoor guide in North America, Canada, and Australia. The company offers several tour options, such as local craft brewery tours and excursions into the Flint Hills.

The Flint Hills is a nearly 10,000 square mile region of tallgrass prairie running through central Kansas, making it the largest intact tallgrass prairie in North America. Four tallgrass prairie preserves in the region maintain populations of native species that used to dominate the Great Plains.

Cagle’s tours focus on the beauty of those prairies in an intimate setting. His tour groups are always kept small to maximize personal experience and protect the land. There’s also an option to build a personalized tour. Check them out online and on Facebook and read about them in the Wichita Eagle.
